  Kean is a great University but there are advantages and disadvantages that comes along with it. The cost of tuition is good compared to other University's and college's in the state of New Jersey. Some of the professor are understandable and nicer than others. However, there is racism and discrimination on the campus. As a first year student at Kean University I experienced racism from classmates and students around the campus. The tension is very high between certain African Americans and Caucasian people. Kean's staff members have terrible organization skills . I volunteered at Kean's open house on September 23, 2017. The lady that was in charge of the volunteers did not know what was she was doing. There was nothing but confusion. Last, most of the Kean's police officers are not friendly. Majority of the officers have nasty attitudes. I remember walking to class with my friend and a officer almost hit my friend. Some of the officers are not cautious of the way they drive through the campus.
